Favorite Story as a Sister – For my 50th anniversary of religious life, in 2016, I returned to Vietnam to celebrate with my final profession class. A group of five of us visited all our CMR communities in Vietnam - a total of 20 houses. We visited one sister's garden and she told us all the details of her garden. She brought us to a table where she had harvested every fruit and vegetable in her garden for us to try. We laughed wondering "How can we eat it all?" We found her hospitality wonderful and her gift to us very creative.
While on our road trip, we stopped at a small restaurant at the side of the road run by a couple and their son. We ate a snail dish that none of us had ever heard of before. It was unique only to the region and extremely rare. They had to show us how to eat it. It was delicious!!
The road trip was an unforgettable experience, it was a blessing to be with my classmates and be with them to celebrate with all the CMR communities.
