Once again, our beloved Sr. Gwen recently returned helping with an Advent retreat for a group of about 30 Huynh Truong (13 - 17 yrs old) in Đoàn Dominico Savio in Phoenix, AZ (Dec 14-16). The retreat’s theme was “"Rooted - For I know the plans I have for you..." (Jeremiah 29:11). There were three sessions focusing on Personal Identity, Mission, and Societal Issues related to Morality. The retreatants bonded in small group discussion and one-on-one conversations with one another on the topics. The weather was absolutely beautiful in Arizona, so one session and some prayer activities were outside. "Nature is the art of God" (Dante) so what a perfect time to feel God's presence then the great outdoors.
Sr. Gwen also gave two youth Advent Retreat Talks for GX Thánh Tử Đạo VN. Both talks focused on preparing their hearts spiritually to welcome Baby Jesus!
